My favourite subject

My favourite subject is Histology. We learn with this the different tissues of the body and study the structure of them, often we use microscope to help us to see the cells that compose the tissue we want to exam. In the class explain us a variety of techniques to dye samples, and it depends of what you want to see specifically. It is interesting because it allows us to see  the essential things that we're compose. You can also learn to identify abnormalities in the tissues that we study, is possible to identify cancer or damage to differents cells layers that compound tissues.
I think the class is funny because the teacher teaches very well and explains everything very clearly, and this  happens very rarely  in other classes where the teachers do not have the patience to teach students in a good way. Also the teacher is so nice, I think that it really helps when a teacher is charismatic with their students because the students try to understand the subject with more enthusiasm.
Well, besides that the subject is interesting, one of the important things that make me love this is that the teacher is very affectionate with us and that create a predisposition in me that helps me to understand things better.

The person who I admire

Charles Darwin:(12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882)
He was an English Naturalist who dedicates its life to study animals and there genetic, and is the father of the evolution, he also study many tipes of pants. He introduce the natural selection on his book "On the origin of species" which explain that all species have descended from a common ancestry, and the diversity of species is because the modification can be acumulated by the evolution through generation. He becames in a famous person thats why his ideas extended more than biological things and was the basis of eugenics and social darwinism, that where movements that people interpreted form his work.
I like him because he made a difference in the ancient evolution converting it in the modern one. I also admire him because he study so much with animals, that makes me think that he consider them very important in life, and he didn't follow the common thinking of that human is the only important animal in the earth. I think he is very important in my career because without him we woludn't understand so much things of animals, and maybe Veterinary medicine has never existed in the way it is today. Veterinary

I decided to study veterinary when I was a child I think, because when I was younger I love animals, I had many types of them, and I was very curious to understand them, and to help when they were sick. But I had problems cause my mom didn't want me to study this, she believed that I wasn't going to earn money, and only when I was in last year of high school she let me study this. Now that I'm studying here I think is the best decision that I took, I'm really happy with everything here, the method of teaching, the practice that whe have, the opportunities to know more about animals, and other things.

Today I can help more my own pets, giving them a better quality life, and understanding more their diseases. Now I can tell to you that I saved my fishes, cause there were all dying, and searching information, and with the help that give me in the uni now the're more healthy, and I'm more trained to cure them when they are sick.

I'm Francisca,most people call me Withey, I'm 19 years old. I'm studing Veterinary at Universidad de Chile and I'm in second year.I love animals that's why I study Veterinary, and also I like so much biology and medicine. I live in Santiago of Chile, especific in Puente Alto. I spend most of time sleeping, and I think I'm very strage because most people like to go to parties and I dont go out almost never. I don't like music, I think that's very wierd too, and the only music that I listen is clasic music and some individual songs out there, but just few times. I suffer from panic attacks and I have a phobia, that's why I cannot eat very well.




This is my dog Titan. It's 2 years old. It is very playful, and love toys. It's a mongrel with long coat white with beige(in the photo he appears with it's hair cutted)
